Health Assessment

Filling in our online health assessment is the first step. Once complete, we’ll send you a referral for the Low T blood work panel.

Getting your sample back to us as soon as possible is vital. We can’t schedule your initial virtual consultation with a Science&Humans clinician until the blood work is complete.

Personalized, individual healthcare plan

Once your blood results have been analyzed, you’ll have an in-depth video consultation with a licensed Science&Humans clinician.

They’ll spend time getting to know you as an individual, explain your results and what they show, and recommend a personalized treatment plan, specific to your needs.

Treatment

Your personalized medication will ship directly to your door every three months for free, through one of our licensed partner pharmacies. It’s a no-fuss, all-around approach to your healthcare.

Quarterly follow-ups

We’ll conduct repeat blood work-ups every 3 months during your treatment. There’ll also be a virtual follow-up consultation with one of our providers after each set of results. We use these quarterly checks to track your ongoing progress and make any necessary tweaks to your treatment.

This system ensures continued, relevant care, tailored specifically to keep you performing at your best.

Your Science&Humans TRT subscription includes a 3-month supply of your prescription treatment, and access to your own specialist clinician, as well as quarterly follow-ups and blood work.

The personalized treatment, including your specific dosage, will be determined by your Science&Humans clinician during your initial virtual consultation.

Your TRT prescription comes in a range of options. We offer a specially made testosterone compounded cream as well as injections and gels.

TRT treatment is prescribed solely at the discretion of the clinician, based on an extensive analysis of your blood results and symptoms.

Yes, TRT may affect fertility. If fertility is of concern for you, please refer to our hCG program.

Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) plays an essential part in Testosterone production. But it can also help keep the side effects of Testosterone treatment at bay.

Specifically, hCG can boost the production of sperm and Testosterone in the testicles, which in turn can maintain and increase fertility.

It can increase testicle size, but it’s also a proven method for treating Low T for those who want to preserve their fertility during treatment.

All care decisions are made by the independent clinicians who work with you, based on your test results. So, if your blood work doesn’t indicate Low T, we won’t treat you for it.

We work based solely on medical needs and nothing else.

If you have already been issued the blood work requisition, the $50 is non-refundable. If your appointment has taken place and a prescription was offered, the $150 is non-refundable.

However, if during the initial virtual consultation, both you and the clinician decide that TRT isn’t the right option for you, we’ll absolutely refund the cost of the appointment.

First-time blood work requisitions are sent within 24 hours of sign up.

Follow-up requisitions are sent 70 days from your last shipment of medication.

Blood work should be completed in the morning, before 10am.

Once you have qualified as eligible to receive TRT, payment will be deducted for your initial virtual consultation..

Payment for quarterly follow-ups and blood work will be deducted every 70 days.. This means we can have everything in place for your next set of blood work and appointments.

The process starts as soon as we receive your blood work. Once the extensive analysis is complete, you will have a decision on your eligibility in 5-10 working days from receipt of your results.

It couldn’t be simpler. Start by checking out for TRT for $50. You’ll need to complete the blood work, as usual, so we can see where you’re at, levels-wise.

As you’re likely to have Testosterone levels in the healthy range, make sure you send us a photo of your current prescription, clearly showing the dosage. This helps avoid your being considered ineligible during the blood work discovery phase.

From there, we’ll arrange your consultation and once you’re all set up, that’s it!

It can increase testicle size, but it’s also a proven method for treating Low T for those who want to preserve their fertility during treatment.

hCG works by acting as luteinizing hormone (LH) and stimulates the testes to produce more sperm and testosterone. An increase in sperm count increases fertility.

Those that qualify for hCG will have moderately low testosterone levels or want to maintain fertility while on TRT.

hCG stimulates the production of luteinizing hormone (LH) to produce more testosterone. This means it naturally increases testosterone levels. It does not need to be used for life.

We recommend tapering off hCG to decrease side effects as much as possible. If you need to book an appointment to taper off, please contact support@scienceandhumans.com

Human Growth Hormone (hGH) is produced in the pituitary gland. It binds to the hGH receptor and initiates the production of Insulin-like growth factor I (IGF-I). hGH is mostly known to promote growth in children. In adults, it has various metabolic functions. It helps regulate body composition, muscle and bone growth, sugar and fat metabolism and heart function. hGH helps maintain, build and repair tissue in the organs. It can help speed up healing after an injury and repair muscle tissue after exercise.

hGH treatments are currently only available in Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Alberta. We are unfortunately unable to serve Manitoba at this time.

Symptoms of low hGH levels include:

Poor recovery from exercise

Decreased exercise tolerance

Difficulty with weight loss

Fatigue

Anxiety and Depression

Sensitivity to heat and cold

Less muscle mass

Decreased Libido

We will test for IGF1 and IGFBP3 in your blood to determine if you are eligible for hGH. If you show deficiency in these markers, hGH therapy will be initiated.

Essentially, Menopause is the period in a woman’s life when her reproductive system begins to wind down. It’s generally split into three stages. Perimenopause is the initial stage, characterized by intermittent symptoms, gradually increasing in frequency On average, Perimenopause is upon us around age 45, announcing its intentions with irregular periods, hot flashes, memory loss, unpredictable emotions and moods, and a drop in fertility. The second stage, Menopause , starts 12 months after your last period. And while you’d think that this marks the beginning of the end for your symptoms, it’s actually more like the beginning of the middle. Because, in a fun biological twist, despite the lack of periods, the rest of your symptoms will carry on regardless. In Canada, Menopause starts at around age 51 and can go on for more than a decade. No, you read that right. Ten. Actual. Years. Post-Menopause is the third and final stage of your hormonal adjustment. Generally, you’ll be around 60-ish when it’s finally over, but for some women, they’re well into their late 60s before the hormones finally relent. Menopause is one of the biggest physical events you’ll experience, but there are ways to minimize its effects.

At its core, Menopause is a hormone imbalance. As our ovaries wind down, we produce less Estrogen and Progesterone. And it’s this drop in hormones that leads to the laundry list of Menopause symptoms.
As with many hormone imbalances, replacing or rebalancing your individual hormone levels can transform your symptoms.
In the case of Menopause, taking replacement estrogen and progesterone, also known as HRT, persuades your body to keep working as it was before your symptoms kicked in. They essentially smooth that transitional period, taking your Menopause from nightmare to normal life in just a few weeks.
Science&Humans bHRT Menopause program takes a cutting-edge approach to hormone replacement. We use bHRT, or bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy, a plant-based, natural alternative to synthetic hormones. Our bHRT is also vegan and suitable for anyone eligible for HRT

Menopause symptoms can be as individual as the patient, but often include
Irregular periods No periods Brain fog Memory loss Hot flashes Night sweats Joint/Muscle pain Loss of libido Chills Exhaustion Sleep issues Mood swings Weight gain Thinning hair Loss of bone density Slow metabolism Dry skin Palpitations
If you recognize any of these symptoms, you could be living through Menopause. That’s where our industry-leading blood panel comes in.

Our extensive blood panel looks at 20+ health and hormone markers, including
Progesterone helps keep your periods regular, and is also involved in ovulation
Prolactin increases the level of Luteinizing Hormone
Estradiolhelps develop and maintain your reproductive system
Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) stimulates your Thyroid into T3 and T4 production.
T3 and T4 control a huge range of bodily processes. Low levels can indicate an issue
Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) stimulates egg production along with ovulation
Luteinizing Hormone (LH) regulates your menstrual cycle and triggers ovulation
Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) stimulates your Thyroid into T3 and T4 production.
T3 and T4 control a huge range of bodily processes. Low levels can indicate an issue
Creatinine levels measures how well your kidneys are working
ALT high levels in your blood could indicate a liver issue
Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP) can point to liver damage
B12 Helps the development of blood, nerve, and brain cells, measuring the levels can show if there’s a deficiency
